ABOUT THE SENSEI
NELSON LEÓN
Greetings! I'm Nelson Leon, a dedicated Movement Coach with a global perspective. My passion lies in Calisthenics, Yoga, and Mixed Movement Arts—a journey that began when I was just 5 years old. Throughout my life, I have been deeply involved in sports, including Track and Field, where I became a national junior champion in the 600 meters and a national champion in the 800 meters. I also played Baseball and Rugby, competing at the highest levels possible until transitioning to Budokon.
After sustaining injuries in Rugby, I shifted my focus to Calisthenics to enhance my mobility and strength. This transition led me to the Budokon Academy in Miami, where I discovered Mixed Movement Arts—a pivotal moment in my career. At Budokon, I learned that physical training transcends competition. It's about personal growth and becoming the best version of oneself. The true competition lies within.
Over the past seven years, I have dedicated myself to teaching the art of Mixed Movements, guiding hundreds of individuals in reconnecting with their inner warrior while enhancing their strength and flexibility. This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I eagerly anticipate helping more people discover the transformative benefits of Mixed Movement Arts.
In the time since my initial biography, I have completed all the teacher trainings offered by Budokon University and have earned a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Additionally, I founded SIMIUSLIFE—a holistic platform dedicated to promoting movement and nutrition for a healthy, strong, flexible, and injury-free body, mind, and spirit.
Our lifestyle approach at SIMIUSLIFE extends beyond physical fitness. We embrace the power of balancing masculine and feminine energies to enhance our lives and relationships. We believe in tough love that fosters growth, creating value-added individuals who are resilient and adept at solving problems.
Beyond my work in movement and fitness, I am a Systems Engineer specialized in Datacenter operations with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a certified scuba diver and a Miami Ice Club certified coach.
Join me on this journey towards a healthier, more balanced life. Together, we can unlock your potential and achieve greatness.

SIMIUSYARD
Organically grown in our own Miami home backyard, the SimiusYard Class will normally start with a meditation, an invitation to zen in and to set an intention to your practice, an intention we will later revisit.
After meditation class will start moving gently through Budokon Yoga or Mobility. After the body is warmed up and zenned in we start our strength practice to at last close with a meditation and breathwork.

The way of the warriors spirit
“I found Budokon in December of 2016 and ever since I have been fascinated by its model and way of life. I remember my first big lesson I learned on the first TT I participated in February 2017 – Budokon Calisthenics: “Cut the bullshit”. At the end of that week I came home as new or more informed person and noticed how much of BS we insist on put up in front of everything, excuses, reasons why, reasons because, etc.
Knowing where all this Budokon Movement started gives you a great perspective on why I still follow it and where I want to be with this movement in the future. Interesting to know how Camerons Shayne’s southern heritage mixed with the liberal LA world has shaped him into the main and pioneer of the Budokon philosophy.

"The Warrior is now ready to confront the enemy, the divided mind.
The enemy is strengthen by the resistance of the Warrior to accept what is"
