The way of the warriors spirit

“I found Budokon in December of 2016 and ever since I have been fascinated by its model and way of life. I remember my first big lesson I learned on the first TT I participated in February 2017 – Budokon Calisthenics: “Cut the bullshit”. At the end of that week I came home as new or more informed person and noticed how much of BS we insist on put up in front of everything, excuses, reasons why, reasons because, etc.  

 

Knowing where all this Budokon Movement started gives you a great perspective on why I still follow it and where I want to be with this movement in the future. Interesting to know how Camerons Shayne’s southern heritage mixed with the liberal LA world has shaped him into the main and pioneer of the Budokon philosophy.  

 

Cameron (Kancho) explains how and why he started to create a system that combines some of the most ancient forms of movements: Martial Arts, Yoga and Calisthenics to create a complete system that until the date keeps dragging people and practitioners from all over the world. Fighters, yogis, dancers, acrobats, fitness people find in Budokon a common ground to keep on the mission of expressing throughout free movement. 

 

I have had the honor to be a student at Budokon Academy in Miami since 2016. This has exposed me to movers from all over the world, Lions and Unicorns rolling together and opening to new knowledge, “always a student” Cameron always says. I have completed other Teacher’s Training with BDK, Budokon MMA Camp in 2017 and Budokon 50 hrs Yoga TT in 2019. 

 

The school has grown beyond the mat and this movement, our practice shapes us to be outstanding not just while practicing but also teaches us how to apply this in our very own lives and against those around us. 

 

Budokon teaching methods are constantly criticized by many, but ironically, we keep on coming because we understand that Budokon and what it teaches us isn’t personal, they are just tools we can use to be better and to stay on point constantly. 

 

Budokon, the best movement school, period! Come, be on point, do your work, all the work, and you will be a BDK BEAST.
